NEW REGULATIONS ON TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMITS IN LITHUANIA

Please be informed that from September 1 st 2019, Lithuanian diplomatic representations (Embassies and Consulates) will only be accepting applications regarding temporary residence permits from applicants:

Who have a right to restore Lithuanian citizenship according to the Lithuanian citizenship law;
Who are of a Lithuanian origin;
Who are transferred within the company (chapter 44 of the Lithuanian Foreigners legal status law).

The above stated applicants can submit their documents to the Lithuanian diplomatic representations according to the prior regulations. All other categories of the applicants need to apply to the Migration department in Lithuania.

Lithuanian diplomatic representations will no longer intermediate for the applicants that are not stated above, but can only issue visas.
